THE T-SHIR

T-shirts and music

You know immediately from someone's T-shirt what kind of music they like. Elvis Presley, the king of rock 'n' roll, started the fashon in the 1950s.

In the 1960s, rock 'n' roll fans wore Ringel T-shirts (with coloured bands on the neck and arms), and hippies tie-died theirs. In the 1970s, black T-shirts were fashionable with heavy metal fans, but punks preferred to wear ripped T-shirts with safety pins.
